Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Bakhtar Plus Radio does not require a listener account and does not ask listeners for their name, address, contacts, or payment information. We collect limited operational information needed to provide the broadcast and understand current listener activity:

• A randomly generated listener session identifier created by the website or app.
• The selected channel, whether the listener is receiving a scheduled or live broadcast, the platform used, and recent activity timestamps.
• Standard technical information that may be processed by hosting, security, and network providers, such as IP address, device or browser information, and request logs.

Audio, microphone, and camera

The service plays audio from the station and may connect to the LiveKit service when a live studio broadcast is available. The listener app does not publish microphone audio, record audio, or use the camera. Audio playback may continue in the background when you enable that feature on your device.

How we use information

We use the limited information described above to:

• deliver scheduled music, podcasts, and live broadcasts;
• keep playback synchronized with the station;
• show aggregate current listener counts to administrators; and
• protect, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

We do not sell listener information, use it for targeted advertising, or use it to create listener profiles.

Retention and deletion

Listener presence records are designed to be temporary. A session is removed when playback stops where the service receives that signal, and listener counts only use activity from the recent active window. Operational logs and provider backups may be kept for the period reasonably necessary for security, reliability, and legal obligations.

Service providers

We use trusted infrastructure providers to operate the service, including hosting and delivery services, Supabase for application data, LiveKit for live audio connectivity, and object storage for audio files. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services and under their own terms and privacy practices.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Bakhtar Plus Radio is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when we publish a material change.
